What We Do

Following an accepted referral, a home visit to complete a comprehensive assessment of the person, their environment and occupation is scheduled. This is completed in the clients home. The aim of the assessment is to understand how the client is completing their daily activities. This can include an interview/discussion with the client and caregivers, observation of functional tasks, conducting standardized assessments and assessment of the environment.

We are able to provide recommendations for equipment and home modifications to support participation in activities of daily living. Both equipment and home modification recommendations are individualized and based on the interaction of the person, their environment and occupational requirements. Recommendations can be details in comprehensive reports where required.

We provide person centered rehabilitation services and skills training for people with challenges completing their day to day activities following a change in function from injury, illness or neurological condition. A thorough assessment to establish limitations and develop goals is completed with the client. A tailor made occupation centered program is then developed. Emphasis is on using existing skills, developing abilities and utilizing compensatory strategies where appropriate.
